Hi, Well we didn't get the OC6 home ,but did buy a Oliver AD and got it home today.Could we get a year of build please? Serial No is  77664 engine No is 476771 and Stock No if that is any help is C422 .Its in reasonable condition, has a hydraulic  blade and a canopy. It is fitted with a home made timber winch..ian.

The serial number for the tractor is on a plate on the front side of the firewall. It will be a number or maybe  depending on how late it is then a letter and then more numbers. You have information from the engine tag.

Hi John , I will double check with the fire wall plate .Both of these machines were sold by dominion motors And have a dominion motors ID plate with Their stock number of the machine for when ordering parts ,then clearly says serial number then engine number.I do not remember seeing a plate on the firewall but i will check and get back to you .ian.

HI John and Blake ,the machine does not have another Id plate on it . But i did make a mistake when i wrote the serial number down .It should have been  7Z664 ,does that make any better sense ? ian.

Yep, the print gets smaller every year.  Same is true whether on this forum, or on a Serial Number plate.  Shrinkage is unavoidable, as are magnifying glasses... ;-D

Hi Guys, Would you know of any australian spare parts contacts ? Got both tractors home now .The OC6 is missing a roller and a couple of others need rebuilding. The AD 's water pump leaks like a seive but hopefullyit will only be a common seal. With the OC6 we have found that the sprocket has bolt on segments that go over the thin teeth on the sprocket ,is that original? Also the track chains do not have the rotating bush like the other olivers we have seen.Is this original  or has someone converted other tracks to it ?.Will try and get photos up on the site for you all to look at . Thanks for the help so far .ian.

Ian, I don't think the OC-6 ever had the roller bushings in the tracks. HG, OC-3, OC4, OC-5, E, and I think OC-9 did not have the roller bushings.

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Hi Blake ,Thanks for your reply. One less question unanswered .The tracks did have an oliver look about them but as i said never seen them without the revolving bush before..Are there any aussies here still? ian.
