Hi Bob, The machines motor was rebuilt 15 years or so ago then parked in a shed ,until a mate of ours bought it ,then needed money and sold it to us .Seems to run fine but seems to lack power .Will give it a fuel fiter change and some new fuel and with a good run pushing a bit of dirt around hopefully will improve. Have not had much to do with olivers  and all the ones our oliver mad friend has had i have never had a chance to operate. My son and myself have a cat d2 4u ,d4 7u,fowler Vf ,david brown 30 TD,2 trackmarshall 55 s,fiat 70ci,case 420c and a komatsu d50-15a. The fowler is a single cylinder 2 stroke diesel,and the david brown is one of only 600 made. Can post some photos if anyone is interested . ian.

Wwe always like to see pictures of a good tractor and even some bad ones. I had my AD running after painting it and my dad thought the timing sounded slow. Sure enough it was. I advanced it alot and now it starts better and has more power. I have ran it quite a bit since the overhaul and the engine is getting broken in nicely. Even more power! Got the junk cleaned out of the tank and filters and better yet. Lots of Black smoke! It'll take a little to get it broke in to have good power.

I have an Oliver ad and my tracks won't stay on.  Does anybody know where to find parts for it so if somebody buys it I can send them in the right dierction

Do you have a spare engine or parts to sell? I bought my AD not running and found one cylinder was broken out when I removed the head. There is about a 6" hole in the bore casting so it cant be sleeved.

I have another block with some small cracks and holes. I think a guy could sleeve this one and be OK. If you are interested PM me and I'll call you.

Hi Guys , WE are having trouble finding a water pump seal  for our AD here in australia ..Does anyone know where we would be able to buy one ,and an email address to contact them on .Thanks ian.

I'll make a call Monday and see what I can find. I got thinking about your power issue with your AD. I think if I were you I would check the timing. Mine ran ok at first and I messed with the timing and it ran a whole lot better. Good luck.

Hi Bob , Thank you .None of the Bearing and seal places want to know about it over here . Thinking the fully rebuilt motor story was not real true .My son says once it gets up to operating temp the oil presssure drops to almost nothing .. Does the water pump interchange with any of the other models ?BD for example . ian.

That sucks when people have to lie or stretch the truth. I think one off a BD might fit, except for the thru shaft for the generator. I think one off an OC12 will work. I'll find out what I can and let you know what I find.

This is very common with these engines and not too worrisome. All you need is about 5 psi. The main goal is that the oil is circulating.
