I build all types of contraptions, a friend has an OC4 has no motor or tranny, he dont want the orignal motor we wants different. what would you suggest for a motor and trany. I need help with timing my mag on an Oliver OC-4.  What is the easiest way to time, where the piston should be when it fires or any other tips.

Barbwire, I would think you could bolt about any engine in it. I've read on this site about a Mercedes diesel in one. The thing about the engine would be having a governor,it wouldn't be much of a tractor without one. The tranny may be harder to replace. I have a parts tranny in the shed but the shifter is bent.
