worn sprocket

Hi  new to this forum and pretty new to cletrac/oliver ownership. Recently purchased a 1939 HG-68, right drive sprocket is worn on the inside. Any ideas. Thank You

Hi -

I built mine up with electric welding rod. Some sections of the riveted outer rings had broken off, and the teeth were down almost to points.

Took a while, had to grind off a few high spots, particularly on the points, where they hit the track frame. The rough areas in the cups did not need grinding - the track pins wore them down fairly quickly.

They have probably a thousand hours on them now, still holding.

Hey there,

      I knew an older gentleman (past last year) who told me he has welded in halved sections of pipe to build up sprockets.  Never tried it myself but he was in high demand for repair work into his seventies.
