Can someone please tell me the model of the tractor?
Sorry if this is in the wrong discussion.

Well take the hood side off the right side and on the firewall will be an I. D. tag with the model and serial number. Also if a 4 cylinder gas or diesel it is an AG or AD,  6 cylinder gas either an AG6 or a BGS. Six cylinder diesel BD. That crawler looks to be in good condition!

It's an AD. You can tell it's not a B because the bolts in the track pads are all in line on an A, but staggered wide-narrow on a B. And you can tell it's a diesel because it has two batteries and the hood is a little shorter than on an AG-6.

My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Welcome to the forum! What part of the country are you in?

It is definately an AD, probably an ADH. It is a dam straight machine too!

I'm guessing about a 1953, because of the Oliver cast into the radiator. You can also tell its an "A" because of the 6 spoked sprockets. A "B" only has 5. Can also tell because it only has a 3 speed tranny. Another thing, the exhaust pipe is in the middle of the hood, and the AG6 which would have been built with Oliver on the rad, has the exhaust coming out more toward the front. Its hard to tell by the legenth of the hood, as its only an inch or two. The ID tag is on the firewall inside the engine compartment, on the right side of the tractor sitting on the seat.

Anything you need to know about it just ask. I've worked on many "A" Cletracs, and have quite a bit of information on them.

Unfortunately, we do not have the tractor anymore. We bought it for a fine art sculpture we were fabricating for a client, believe it or not. We used it for reference. When we were done with the project we sold it on Ebay about 3 years ago.
The tractor was in great shape. It started and ran without an issue. We are trying to get a hold of another one... wish we never sold this amazing tractor!
Thanks for all the info and if anyone comes across one for sale, please let us know.
