:)Hey fellas, I'm working on my oc46 and its missing the counterweight on the back, any idea of the weight? The bucket is a 5\8th yard. I just sent for the manuals from Landis, not sure if the weight will be in there.Gotta pull one track as it seems that the timken bearing is gone in the final drive. This could be challanging as it appears that the whole support sysyem will have to move forward to get the sprocket off. Will see.  Thanks guys.  Tim

My 54  OC46 has 2 weights on the back. A welder freind of mine guess's they will go about 175 lb each. Just a guess .

Thanks for the reply, about 350lbs is enough for a full load of sand? I can weld together that much. Tim

Suggestion would be to find some stack weights fro the front of a wheel tractor, weld a bracket and add them as needed like the tractor pullers do.

I recently purchased a manual for the Model 46 loader and was surprised to find out that each of the counterweights, (P/N 604 499 F) weigh 400lbs. each!! I seem to have a crack developing on the left hand support and plan to remove the weights to repair. Good thing to know BEFORE trying to remove , huh.
