I am replacing the carrier bearings in my final drive. I was suprised to see in the service manual that the shielded side of the inner bearing is to face the pinion gear. wouldn't this interfere with the lubrrication of said bearing? I'm considering replacing it with a max load bearing that is not shielded. Question two, any reason not to replace the outer bearing  with a max load bearing like the inner one? Will wait for response from those of you that would know. Thanks Bill Hunter:o
