When tryng to rasie the blade on my OC3 - the hydro pump stops turing - even when not working the hydrualics the belt is slipping - I adjused the belt so that it is pretty tight - but no improvement -  - I just purcased this tractor so I dont know when it last worked.

pump is mounted below the crank and runs off the frt crank pulley

could it be that I need to overhual the pump? - parts??

not sure what make/model the pump is, I have digital pictures I could email to someone who is willing to help

best regards,'
Chris - (Maine)

I never saw a belt-driven hydraulic pump on an HG or OC-3. Most are right off the front of the crankshaft. What company made your dozer?
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. I am under the impression that I have purchased an Oliver OC3 -  belt driven pump - driven off the crank shaft - I could send you a few photos if you would llike to take a look my email address is:
