Found a General for sale in Michigan.  I can't afford it, so I thought maybe someone on here would be interested.  I guess it's all there except for the grille.  Includes mounted cultivators.  Been in a barn for 30 years.  Has electric start.  They're asking 3500.  I can get the number if interested.

I think they're gonna keep their General - at least for that price!!
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. That's what I thought.  They're selling things for an elderly neighbor who supposedly got "ripped off" when she started selling tractors after her husband died.  I'd imagine they're getting a cut in return.

Hi Matt,
When I wrote to you asking the tel. no., you wrote to me: Hmmmmm smells like a scam to me. I hate dealing with out of the country shipping scams.

I am writing back:  In that case must I deal with scammers all the time - as most of my deals are in the US or Canada?  No! And, no one else has yet accused me of scamming either!  I am sure there are quite a few around who might tell you otherwise.
So, presumably it is you selling the General?
As I have said, I have a space to fill in a container coming over from Canada next year.  A General might be a good addition to my Olivers and cletracs.  If you do not want to sell it, then OK.  My money is as good as anyone elses and someone will find me something to fill the container.  RAB
