Hello I just bought a HG a couple nights ago from an old lady and im trying to get it running but i dont have spark. I took the mag cover off and its pretty dirty and the cap has a crack in it and one screw tab is broken off but it still has a lip to tighten. Anyways i was curious if anyone could give me the gaps and specs for the points and everything in the magneto it would be much appreciated. Im going to order a service and parts manual on monday but id like to get it running so i can move it around my shop. Your input would be very helpfull. thank you. I dont know what motor it has in it but under the dozer the paint is orange i dont know if that will help or not an dits also a Wico mag.

Points should be set at .015 to .017.  Make sure they are not oxidized.

Firing Order is  1 2 4 3 in clockwise order on the distributor cap of the Mag.

Timing is 14 degrees before top dead center.  Marked by SPK on the flywheel.  Number one cylinder impulse should fire when the SPK appears  in the timing hole on the bellhousing.

Hi,  If you send me your email address, I'll send your a manual for your Wico or a least a series "A" Wico Mag.  If it's not identical, it should be pretty close.  The file in in pdf format.
