OC-46: can diesel block be used to build gas engine?

I've got a OC-46 with the 3 cyl. gas engine.  Don't know engine model yet, gotta get behind the loader arms.  Also have a OC-4 parts machine with the 3 cyl diesel, mostly intact.  Are the diesel blocks and gas blocks interchangeable?
Crank appears to be the same P/N, judging by the Oliver parts book, so I could rebuild the old block and just buy new heads and pistons, while running the worn out, smoke belching beast a little longer... :?:

Maybe: I need more details. Are these both Cleveland built units? Do any of them had the letter H in the engine model? What is the serial number of each? Not all gas engines had sleeves either. So start looking for some of this information/ You might be better off rebuilding one unit (engine) and then sticking it in the crawler and then rebuild the other one. If I remember right there are about 4 or 5 variations in those engines.

Thank you for offering to assist.  Between the HG-31 I have and this one, I've got a pile of iron needing TLC.  
Original equipment gas engine S/N:3753141.  Engine is a GO-130H.
Diesel engine S/N: 3600913, DD-130.  I'll still go out and try to burrow under the loader frame and get Oliver S/N of OC-46 itself.
