With summer over, things are slowing down so back into the shed to look at my poor negelcted OC-4.
My question is, Do parts from an IXK-3 swap to an IXB-3?  Earlier this spring after purchase of the OC-4, I was finally able to get it running and that lasted for about 2 to 3 minutes before it put a rod through the side of the block.  During the summer I have rounded up a crank and a block but when it blew it also broke the cam. I was at a place the works on tractors the other day that had an Avery with a ixk3 with no head.  The guy running the place told me that interal part would interchange the engines but want to be sure before putting out money for a rusty parts motor. Any help would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

Should work. Big differenece between an IXK and the IXB is the bore, BUT there were a million little changes in those engines. If it rains I will check the Avery number against the Oliver number. I will need to look if I still have a Hercules IX parts book.
