HG or OC-3

Text I have a cletrac with the serial # 1271595, and under it is IXK3, might anyone know what year this is and is it an HG or OC-3?

You have an HG. IXK is the model of the engine. The model HG used the IXK engine untill early in 1950 when they went to the IXB which has a 0.125 larger bore. In 1951 the OC-3 was introduced/
See if you have a serial number tag on either the bellhousing or the right frame rail. Both locations were used. There is also a date the engine was cast located kind of behind the magneto.
