rebuild oc3 engine

just bought oc3 runs good but smokes.going to rebuild hopefully next summer. can i buy a rebuild kit? do these hercules have sleeves in the block?

No sleeves. They made oversized pistons, but I'm not sure where to get some. If you're lucky the cylinders will be ok and all you'll need are rings and a hone job.

I believe those have aluminum pistons.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. i guess the best thing to do is pull it out when im ready and mic out the cyls. check the bearings and crank. and go from there! the reason it is smoking is it was over heated from the radiator leaking.

If it just started burning oil after it overheated, there's a good chance new rings may fix it. They probably lost their temper from the heat. Hopefully no cylinder got scored. It didn't sieze up, did it?

no blake, it didnt sieze up it just smokes pretty bad.  keeps the bugs away.the radiator should be ready for the weekend ill put it back in and run her and watch the oil. maybe i can get by till spring.
