ag4
I ran across an ag4 last weekend. The UC looks almost new, sprockets have large flats,no points on the teeth, the track adjusters are almost all the way in, no welds or cracks , but the motor is froze up, Hercules 4 cyl. Are these motors common to locate parts? Or would I be better off looking for a small desiel engine to shoehorn in? What would be a fair price to offer to the man?

Though the OOC Hercules engines are not real easy to find, with a little hunting, you should be able to find a fairly good one in a worn out tractor. The AG and E both used the OOC engine. I would keep it original if you can.
