Hi, I thought i'd intruduce my self. My name is Chris and i'm 32 years old. I just recently began the process of buying a crawler. I got the itch about three years ago. I found an Oliver that was advertised as a '51 OC-4. But after I did some investigating I found out by looking at the vin# listing that the first OC-4 wasn't made until '56. Where would I look to find the vin. plate? This will be the third project i've taken on as for as tractor wise. I just had my engine rebuilt in my '48 Ferguson TE-20. And i'm getting ready to have the engine in my '67 990A David Brown Selectamatic.

Welcome aboard!

The ID plate should be right in front of your left foot while sitting.
A few inches below the starter button,  under the curvy part of the sheet metal.

Thanks. I'll check it out the next time I see it. The guy was cool and said I could make payments until its payed for. I did this with my David Brown also. I'm giving him $3800 for it. It doesn't smoke, the sheetmetal is in good shape and she purrs like a kitten. Well, a really loud kitten.

P.S. I see you have a wheel horse. My parents have three. They gave me the eighty model. The oldest one is a '68. I'm not sure of the model, but it's one tuff little tractor, and still running today.
