Folks,
Today I did some work on my Cletrac E-62 to get it ready to go to our show this weekend. She's going in her work cloths as I have not had time to give her a much needed clean up and paint job.

When I parked her here at our new farm after moving her from Mom and Dad's last fall she was stumbling and missing every time she hit a bump or hill. I figured it was either dirt in the sediment bowl or carburetor.

Well today I pulled the sediment bowl off to clean it all up. It was coated inside and outside with varnish. I cleaned the bowl and the housing and had everything ready to go back together and then knocked the dumb bowl off the edge of the table and busted it into a hundred pieces!!!

It is Sunday, so not much is open. I figured I'd try Tractor Supply just in case they might have something. Well they did have a bowl for a Ford that was the right diameter, but not as high. A-C and J-D bowls were the right height,  but larger in diameter. I got the Ford one with a new gasket and brass screen. I had to use a 1/4 coupler under the bowl to make it fit with the bail. It worked!

Next problem was the chock cable was missing! Where did it go? Just the inside part gone. Turns out my wife's dumb horse yanked it right out with her teeth!!! The housing was ok, and with a little search in the pasture, I found the cable. I put it back in and it worked fine.

After all this, the tractor stared up with a few quarter turns of the crank and ran fine. No more stumbling!

Now just have to pick up some oil for the track frames and lower track wheels and she's set to go.

Our show is the Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society //http://little-mountain.com/pioneer near Saegertown, Pa. It's this weekend - July 14, 15, 16 and the feature is Massy-Harris. But, all are welcome. Jim Novotny may be there with his early OC-4; Bob Burkhouse should have some of his Cletracs there. There should be several others there too.

I look forward to seeing as many of you folks there as possible!!!!
