HG Operators:  Can anyone tell me, in ounces, how much oil should be injected into each roller.  I placed my seals in incorrectly, but have devised a method of oiling each roller and can get 4 ounces in.  This takes the level about 2/3s of the way up on the center spindle.
Is that enough to oil the bushings for parading and other limited use?  Thanks in advance for any help or feedback you can give me.  Dr Bert

I don't know the corect specs, but if the oil is 2/3 over the shaft, it will lubricate. Can't see asd how it would be a problem.

Dick:  I thought that the oil level was sufficient to lubricate the bushings, but it is good to know that someone with more experience agrees.
I was able to get in another ounce in each roller for a total of 5.  This puts the oil level almost up to the top of the shaft, and unless I get a leak I will not change the seals.  Will also try adding more oil when my oil gun arrives.  I will post the results in case anyone is interested.

Just in case you weren't aware, the November/December issue of the Hart-Parr / Oliver Collector has a short article on rebuilding HG / OC3 track rollers.

Mikegt--Thank you.  That article is where I found out that I had screwed up when installing the oil seals.  Found some of the old  oil seals that I had removed during the rebuild--they were installed incorrectly also and that was my guide when I installed the new ones.
