Hercules Engines / Starters and Ring gears / ZXA models! Wha

I have a Hercules ZXA 4 cylinder , it was made without electric start but has a place for the starter to fit .  The engine support has a 3 1/8ââ,¬Â hole in it for the drive end of a starter, the bolt spread on center is 5 3/8ââ,¬Â. The flywheel has a place for a ring gear to be fitted its 11ââ,¬Â.

Would like to know what kind of starter or starterââ,¬â,,¢s were used with these engines , make and modle number would be great, or any junkyard swaps that can be done. Would also like to know any ring gear information, who knows, maybe a Ford courrer pickup might
fit.

What have you done to other than orignal replacement to have a electric starter for your engine?

Just tried to mate up a ring gear from a Ford Ranger 4 banger a buddy of mine had it came close but no dice. I dont think you can order ring gears by the size you want , so the hunt continues! Any ideas anyone!
