Hi Folks: Finally getting around to pick up the HG's.  Anyone have a good engine oil dipstick for an IXK -3 that I could purchase. Some smartalec got into the barn where they machines were stored and took the oil breather cap, mag and dipstick.  Please let me know if you have one. Thanks...Orangeman..

Note to Blake... will send you a check shortly to help with site.... been a busy summer, but I have not forgot!

I don't know where you can get a new or used dip stick, but if you still need help I will measure one and give you the information you would need to fabricate one.

Mike: If you can take some measurements that would be great.  Mine had oxidized on the end,  so I only to cut the bad portion on reweld and mark the oil full line.  The measurements would certainly be a great help.  Thanks ... Orangeman

I'll be at the shop tomorrow and measure it up for you.  You should be able to make one; all you need are the right dimensions from the top of the holder tube to the end of the dip stick, along with the full mark and one quart low mark.  I'll get back to you  --  Mike Shanley, Woodbury MN

Orangeman -- I didn't get the dimensions today and I'll be out of town now until Friday.  I'll try to get them for you then.  Sorry, Mike Shanley.

From the top of the dipstick tube to the Full mark is 6.185 (6 3/16) "
The 2 quarts low mark is 7.075 (7)"
The Minimum level mark is at the bottom at 7 13/16 "

The marks are  4/4,   2/4  and   ^ .  Mike Shanley, Woodbury MN

Hello Mike: Just wanted to let you know that the measurements worked great.  I used material from a wire stand that would hold a wreath in a cemetery, then brazed it on to my oil dipstick stub.  Material was free and it came out perfect.

Thanks again for the info.  Orangeman! :D
