I haven't been on in awhile, and upon returning I see we have a couple new OC-46's on board. Cool ! Reason I'm here is Dad and I just went halvzies on this 59 OC-46. Thought We'd share it.
  Someone must have ditched it pretty hard on the right side because the bolts to the inside track frame trunnion brackets were all sheared off. The front idler shaft was bent, and the front of the track frame was also bent. We got her on the mends now.
  Anyone catch those OC-46 planetaries on e-bay ? Are they the Spot Turn Type ?

Looks like a nice one! It's definitely prettier than mine. These little crawlers are fun and not that hard to work on (in my humble experience). My wife caught me looking at an OC-4 on line the other day and all she could do was shake her head :) I love that woman.

Yes, they are very nice to work on. We have a couple OC-3's, HG's. We've had our eyes out for an OC-4, and this one came along. The price was right, and it wasn't as beat up as they usually are. It has it's share of wear, but it appears to have been well maintained, and has had track work done to it not very long before it was taken out of service.

The OC-46 is moving under it's own power. My 8 year old Son Nathan is familiarizing himself with the "new to him" controls. He's a pro on the wheel tractors, and the crawlers, but this two handled bucket control on a crawler is new to him.[/img][/img]

Nice to see it going! My three year old Nils is all over ours, pulling the levers and such. I do let him ride along some but you can't get much work done with a three year old on your lap.
