OK, I've finally got enough progress on my OC-46 restoration to post some pictures. I bought this crawler from someone who started to rebuild it but seemed to be more than he wanted to deal with. He did already go through the undercarriage and had the engine freshly rebuilt. Not much else was taken apart and he started to paint it. A lot of the painting was right on top of poorly preped surfaces so after I got it home I disassembled it down to the frame, cleaned and painted, replaced/made new shafts, bushings, bearings, seals and just about every nut/bolt/washer on it. It's going together pretty well but I'm taking my time. The picture of it on the trailer is when I picked it up. I'll be sure to take more progress pics and add them to the album. And is the green motor an IXB-3?

Yes, they both are. The green one is for the OC-3 I'm also doing. It's actually the wrong color at the moment but will change it when that crawler goes together.

Wow, it looks great.  Thank you for the inspiration.  I've kind of hit the wall this winter with my OC-3 project.  Your pictures and some above freezing temperatures should help get me out to the garage this weekend.

Looks like you have a VW project in the background.

Keep posting the pictures. . .

Looks like some nice projects you have there. Are you the machinist that did the work in some of the pictures? I think being a machinist is going to come in handy with the OC-3 project I'm starting. Those pictures sure are encouraging.

Machinist? haha, I have a mill and a lathe but I certainly wouldn't consider myself anything other than a "metal carver". I do work for a large aerospace company so I can get lots of advice when I need it.
