Ron here is a picture of my water pump. The markings on the block says IXB5 is this not the motor for this machine?
Thanks Thom.

Somebody changed engines. Cletrac/Oliver only ever used the IXB-3 engine. The IXB-5 has five timing gears instead of three. That is how they drive the water pump on the IXB-5 Before say 1940, The Silver King tractor used the IXB-5 engine as well as some fork lift trucks.

The Leader tractors also used the IXB-5. That sprocket drove a flexible coupling made from a double roller chain. It drove the hydraulic pump on ours.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors.
