Need help, please. My Cletrac HG 42.....

 Hello fellow crawlers. The time has come to begin restoration on my Cletrac. It was owned for many years by my late grandfather and I acquired it several years ago. It is equipped with front loader and gannon attachments. I am proud to own and eager to restore this.
     I have two dillemas: my Cletrac was last operated about a year ago, by a young relative, and there are some wires missing and some disconnected. I need to get the tractor running in order to complete a few hours work and more importantly, park it in my garage where I can begin restoration. I have written down all the wiring issues, if anyone is willing to help me make the appropriate connections.
     My second dillema is that I have no idea what year it is. I believe it is an HG 42, due to track dimensions and a faded HG on the engine cover. I would like to purchase manuals and determine correct paint colors, once the year is known. These are the numbers which I was able to find on the tractor and engine:
Intake Manifold #288180   Behind magneto on eng. block #115 53 746
Top of engine #29514    Fuel tank perch#112017   Axle housing #207048
Left side of eng. block #1XB3

Hello!  first off if you don't know the condition of things,a few hours of of work my be an expensive END to your machine,, the work has waited a year it can wait longer .
  do this in order get manual,change all fluids ,do wiring,check brake bands ,oil tracks.
  start engine, you could possibly start it to get it in, your option first I'm no know it all.
  myself I just did a search, type in topic and read....that it for me ,good luck.

   P.S. with your engine block # and if front idler wheels are solid with no holes .it could be a 53 or54

On the left side of the engine there is a flat spot machined in the block. It is almost in the center lengthwise and near the top. Unless  the block has been replaced at one time the model of the engine IX? and the serial number will be stamped there. Behind the mag there will be casting numbers for when the block was cast. All the other numbers you gave are just casting numbers. Start there.
