Cletrac, Oliver Dozers To Be Scrapped in NY???

"D-C-741", who gave a location as Ithaca, NY, says he is going to cut up for scrap various pieces of Ag eqpmt, including unidentified Cletrac  and Oliver dozers, as scrap prices are up in his area...
Now, being a paranoid conspiracy theory type, the first thing that came to mind (possibly unfairly, I'll admit) is that he/they really want to sell eqpmt or parts (one generally either offers for sale or just quietly cuts stuff up)...
However, there may well be reasonable parts etc available, so: his post is the "Hey, Look-Scrap Prices etc" thread posted 8-20 on the Combines etc forum on ytmag; there's a phone # but no email thru the system.
I have no interest in this, other than idle curiosity; if anyone posts an inquiry on ytmag, or phones, I'd appreciate knowing if it sounded legit.

I checked on these machines, not much to get on them. Engines and Trannys' gone and U/C wore out completely.  They are scrap.
