Hey all Im new here. Also new to the oliver owners club.I have a OC4 crawler and Im going to be replacing the brakes soon.Is this a huge project? It looks to me as if the rear cover of the differential might expose the brakes?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes to change the brake bands you need to drain the oil and remove the rear cover.  Any good clutch and brake shop should be able to reline the bands.  They take a wet lining.  Not a difficult job.  Oil is a GL1 gear oil with out EP aditives don't use a GL 5 EP oil.  A SAE 50 non detergent oil will work also.

Thanks for the reply. This is my first experience with a crawler and I was hoping I wouldnt need to completely tear the rear diff apart.Thank you for info.Greatly appreciated.

i did the brake job on my hg awile back and it wasn't to bad. getting the clamps bolted back on was the hardest part. zimmerman has the liners and you need to rivet them on. good luck.
