I was told that the mag on a Model E advances the reverse of most Cletracs. Can someone expand on this in words for me?
1. Does this mean I have to insert the plug wires into the mag cap 1-2-4-3 counter-clockwise instead of clockwise?
2. Is the top right slot still #1 cylinder in the mag cap, as it would be on other Cletracs?
I am using a rebuilt American Bosch mag, but I have the correct Wico too if anyone thinks that is better.
Thanks in advance.

If I'm not mistaken, they actually call them a left hand rotation. Most are right hand rotation. Look at the cap on the mag. It should have a number one on it. If not, just pick one. Usually top left, but it doesn't really matter. The rotation on your OOC turns opposite of the engine. The rotor will probably turn the same way, but turn the mag to be sure. After you put number one in, wire it 1243. Should be in good shape.

I think the rotor turns the opposite way of the mag's armature. It all depends on where the mag is desired to be driven from as to which rotation is selected. Is one direction more common than the other??
