I have a BDH and the water pump is like nothing i've seen. It looks like a turbo, that shoots water. Can someone tell me what it does.

It works just like any other water pump but is larger.  Instead of being bolted to the water jacket over an opening the water is piped to it from under the oil filter.  I just had mine rebuilt by a local firm who fitted modern type seals instead of the graphite ones, wasn't too expensive considering its not something they'd come across before. I live in England, got interested in Cletrac's when I brought an Oliver BD in 2001, I now have an Oliver BD a Cletrac BDH and another BDH for parts and have just brought a 1919 model H. I also have a british built Track Marshall 90.  Always keen to hear from fellow collectors.
