Before and after - my 'new' OC46

Found in a field, hardly used, in Virginia. One broken brake band, cracked distributor cap - most everything else, excellent

Got a nice back-fill blade with it too.
Checked over and all hoses replaced by Harold Zimmerman - painted up the road by Frank Hoover.

And at home carrying an 800lb. ball of serpentine stone. One of my side-jobs: I supply raw carving stone to stone sculptors.

Well, I know this sounds insane, but it took Harold Zimmerman about a week and a half in labour, and it took the paint guy a couple of days. That's how well this machine was preserved.

After 60 years, we put in the following: new plugs, points, distributor cap, thermostat, water pump kit, fuel pump, gas tank, a few water hoses, all hydraulic hoses, oil pan, one idler shaft & bushings, radiator re-core, new battery + ground strap, two new steering bands and some gaskets! That was it! The idler shaft was not even critical - but since we had the tracks off.

A dream find, really

Wow, That is insanely lucky

. Seems like every single part I pulled off of mine had to have work done to it. Mine was mostly dissembled when I got it. Lots of issues to address. I'm sure my labor alone was worth more than the whole machine is worth today. Just glad it's done finally.

It's been worked enough to remove all of the paint from the outside surfaces of the tracks and the bottom front edge of the bucket but it's still pretty clean.
