Got the clutch taken out of my 1950 HG-31 and I was wondering if the pressure plate was supposed to have a friction disc? There is a friction disc on the flywheel. What is the minimum thickness of the friction disc on the flywheel?

there should be a flywheel with a metal face, a double sided friction disc, and a metal faced pressure plate, has your clutch friction disc come apart?

There is a friction disc riveted to the flywheel, and the pressure plate is just metal. Is there a friction disc that goes on the pressure plate?

The owners manual shows 2 friction facings. The clutch was stuck last year, and I was unable to break it free.

it sounds like the friction disc is still stuck to the flywheel, it is not rivetted to the flywheel, it should be a disc with a splined hole in it with friction facings rivetted to both sides, and it is sandwiched between thae pressure plate and the flywheel

Thanks for your help. The friction disc was indeed stuck to the flywheel. A re-built clutch and friction disc from Zimmerman's fixed the issue!
