When looking at the specifications chart for a DGH is shows standard weight at 12000 lbs.  Would this be without blade and what would it be with a Heil blade on it?

standard wt is the machine alone. i've got an ag6 with dozer blade on it and the blade weights 2350 lbs alone. hope this helps.

Thanks.  Trying to figure out how much truck and trailer I need to move it around.

A DGH weighs the better part of 18K with a winch and Heil Trailbuilder angle dozer. Subtract the better part of 2K for the winch. The standard weight, is probably standard gauge, where as hillside would be a couple hundred pounds heavier. I have a spec sheet on the Heil blade system on As Bs Ds and such that tells shipping weight of the system. I should dig it up and we could get down to brass tacks but...

We did weigh a DDH with a winch and blade lift and no "C" frame and blade and I think it was right about 17K.

Need a decent truck trailer to move those buggers.

I'm  thinking about pulling the blade system off (don't have anywhere to work it), so I can haul it a bit easier to plow days and maybe shows in the future.

Yeah that would make it quite a bit easier to move, and much more nimble and maneauverable. They have good power (mine is quite impressive really) but a blade is sort of a p.i.t.a. if you don't really need it.

What part of the country are you in?

Southern Illinois.  I figure without the blade I could have fun at Plow days and maybe other shows.  Have a line on a DDH basket case, but scrap prices are a little high right now
