Found the broken hose on it today.  It's the pressure line from the pump to the loader valve.  It looks like it could be a bear to thread in there.  Is it possible to disconnect each end and couple the new hose to the old at the pump end and pull the new one through with the old one?  Also, I have an older 55 gal drum, still with the factory seals intact, of SAE 20w20 motor oil.  Would that be an acceptable hydraulic fluid in the OC46?.  I know on the Super series farm tractors they recommend 10w30 plus an additive, and we always used SAE 10w non detergent with good results.  I have since switched to hydraulic/transmission fluid from TSC, in the yellow bucket, but I would like to use this 20w20 if I could.

Hydraulic oil has an anti-foaming agent, which motor oil does not have. If it were me, I would use hydraulic oil. It doesn't have to be anything exotic as it doesn't go in the transmission or have to work with clutch packs, etc.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Thanks for the advice Blake.  What about pulling the new hose through with the old one?  Should I expect the old hose to be fastened in place or will it pull through freely?  Also, do you have a length for that hose?  Thanks!

1/2" x 84"
the other one is 1" x 80"
You should be able to pull it through, but who knows after all this time ???

Do you have the book for the Anderson blades ? I need to know the correct hydraulic hoses for my OC3.

There's two manuals that will tell you everything you need to put one back together. The Ware one or the Oliver one. Both have hose schematics and sizes.

The Oliver one is more thorough, more technical and covers all the bases.

The Ware one is more like a collection of annotated engineering blueprints but there's some useful notes on assembly etc. too. If you get one, I'd get the Oliver one.

I can sell you one or both — or I'll post some lengths for you if you just want to 'wing it'.

Oh sorry, I was looking at the title.

You want OC-3 Anderson hydraulic stuff. Best to start a new thread for future owners.

Let me see what I have...Chris
