I just picked up a 2 owner 1935 EN.It is pretty complete and has a 3 foot snowplow. At the right rear of the engine is what appears to be a small mechanical fuel pump.I have never seen this before. My 1937 E 38 doesn't  have one.Is this some type of option ? The EN parts manual that came with this tractor, has a listing for an AC fuel pump.It also says no parts for this pump can be purchased from Cletrac, you must go directly to AC for pump or repair parts.I thought all these tractors were gravity feed.Has anybody seen,or about this set up ? Hey Bill,
My E38 has a fuel pump, I'll try and post a pic in the next few days.

My E-62 had a fuel pump. Since it did not pump correctly, I took it off and just gravity fed the gasoline. The only time you need the fuel pump is if you are going to up extremely steep hills with less than half a tank of fuel.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation. After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors.
