I try to restore a tractor CLETRAC BDH , diesel engine HERCULES 6 cylinders.

I need to know the tightening torque of the cylinder head.

 Thank you

My Hercules book says 157 1/2 foot pounds for the DJXC engine. It should be a 5/8" stud.:D

Don't forget to check the clearance on the swirl chamber tops if you've machined the head as it can sit on them.  I agree with Robert I did mine to 160lb.  The oldest copy of the book I have only tells you what lenth of bar to use as an extension!!
I live in England, got interested in Cletrac's when I brought an Oliver BD in 2001, I now have an Oliver BD a Cletrac BDH and another BDH for parts and have just brought a 1919 model H. I also have a british built Track Marshall 90.  Always keen to hear from fellow collectors.
