Track Difference HG vs OC3?

Is there any difference between the tracks on an HG and one on an OC-3?  I know that grouser plates can come in different sizes, but I am wondering if the underlying track is different at all since the HG idlers ride on the inside and the OC-3 idlers straddle the outside of the track.  Also, how can I tell if a track is no longer good?  Is it when there is play in the pins or just stiffness?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

There is no difference between HG and OC-3 tracks. The tracks off an OC-4 and OC-6 have the same links as well, but  have more links in them. <p>As for knowing how muck wear the have check to see how far the adjustment is out and also make sure each track has 30 links.
