How do I post a picture next to my posts ?

I have noticed that Blake, and the Catskinner, and a couple others have a nice picture that shows up next to their posts every time they do one. I would like to do that. Can anyone help me with that ? Can you change it every once in a while ? Thanks,  Eric

It's called an Avatar. First you need to create a picture that is 150 pixels wide maximum and upload it to a site that can be pointed to with a url. Then you go to your Control Panel/Options and put that url in the avatar line. You can change it anytime you wish.

I guess the part I don't know how to do is find a site that I can up load a picture to. Could my pictures in the photo album be considered that site ? thanks

Yes, but they may be too big. The thumbnail would work, but I'm not sure if you can select just that in the url. If you need me to, I can set up a place just to keep avatar pictures for anyone who needs it. Does your local isp give you any space? You could use that too.

I wouldn't be surprised if my local isp does provide space, but there again, I don't know how to up load to it, or even how to find out if they have space available.

You can get a free yahoo mail account and they will give you space to upload your pics to a photo album. Then just point to it.:D
