Problem-AG6 major fuel leak

HELP !!!  My AG-6 dumps about 5 gallons of gas into the oil within an hour. It's already destroyed my seals and I'm hoping it has'nt affected any bearings. Due to the amount of fuel lost, could this be caused by a hole in the fuel pump?  Also, do I even need a fuel pump? My Oliver 70 is gravity feed, can my AG-6 operate the same if I by-pass the fuel pump?

I would say that you are on the right track suspecting the fuel pump. I have a AG6 with out a fuel pump and I could think of no reason to have need one even on my hills the fuel tank would never be lower then the carburetor;)

Bypass your fuel pump.

Guys... please don't post in the Cletrac Website / Forum Discussion forum. It says right there not to - I just have to keep moving them out of there.

Sounds like the diaphram on the fuel pump is perforated.  

I'd say you don't need the fuel pump unless your float valve in the carb is at all sticky, then it might not allow gas into the bowl with gravity pressure alone.
