I need a few parts for hercules engine Iwould like a good source near N.H.  Also what would make the engine run so hot that the exhaust manifold glows .thanks for last answer

Sounds like your timing is running retarded. Could be running too lean too.
My gramps Howard van Driest was Experimental Engineer at Cletrac and Oliver Corporation.
