Well, I figured after a year and a half that if you haven't posted them by now you weren't going to. I just wish you had printed that in the paragraph about downloading before I wasted my precious time. I too am limited to the time I have until as of late working 10 and 12 hrs. a day seven days a week. I just did it because I wanted to share with others that are interested in these great machines. As for your fees, thats part of owning a website. If you ever accepted donations from people other than buisnesses i'd contribute because I will help out where I can. On my Toyota MR2 site that i'm a member of we pay $10 a year for the ability to send messages and other quirks. This site doesn't have anywhere near that many mmbers but if you put some effort into it you could let the site pay for itself.

Hey Blake, remember those pictures I gave you over a year ago? When are you finally going to make me an album?

Yeah, that the only silver ligning I can come up with. I mean I was only asking for a reserve price of $400. I could have made a lot more srapping it with the price of metal what it is. I would rather someone get it that is either going to fix it or tear it down for parts. But like you say, i'd rather see it as yard art than to hear that its going to be melted down. Well its early, there are still five days left.

Well, I have decided to sell the HG68 that I just bought. I just bought an Allis Chalmers 5040 and I just can't have two tractors and two crawlers. Oh well. It looks like it would have been fun. I have it listed on e-bay right now. I hope whoever gets it will fix it up. I've already had one question asking if I would help load it. They said they wanted to use it as yard art. "sigh....."

No I haven't gotten it home yet. Its still sitting at the dealership. I guess i'll go ahead and bring it home. I went to the local "god almighty of alternators and starters". I took the mag to them to check out for me. They took it in the back, cleaned it up, and gave it back to me. They said they had no means to mess with it. They said there wasn't enough demand for it so they got rid of all they're equipment.

Quote from: "walter hudson"Oliver/CletracHG grilles and OC3 grilles are the same .The Cletrac HG was different {center solid strip was narrower}
Walter

In the first sentence you said they are the same and in the second you said they are different. Could you elaborate?

Oh. I wouldn't know what the hood looked like if it were thrown at me.

As you can see, my HG is kinda missing the sheetmetal.

I wounder what the hood came off of. If it were shaped to meet the gas tank you wouldn't even notice it was different.

Its a '54 model.

As for value it could range anywhere from $200 to $10,000. It all depends on the condition. It would be impossible to say without seing it. They ussually sell for around $1500 to $2500 in running condition unrestored.

I said 20 HP.

Ooops. Sorry. It must have registered wrong when I read all the post. At 20HP, would it be strong enough to pull a mower?

Thanks. I don't really know much about mags as I was born in 1973. I guess its time to call Mr. Zimmerman and order a new one.

HG, OC-3, OC-4 & General / OC4 Magneto

Will a bad magneto keep a unit from starting? When I bought the machine the guy said the magneto needed rebuilding. It started the first couple of weeks that I owned it. But now it just turns over.
