Hi Guys , I am rebuilding a 39 hg crawler. The problem is that I have a 72 tooth ring gear and hub that is broken in the studs. I have tryed everywhere to get a hub but with no result. Zimmerman s have a 70 tooth hub and ring gear and I need to know if the ring gears can be changed. The hub I have is 10inch ID and I hope to change it over. Can anyone help me?? Thanks. Go to E-bay and type Cletrac in the search. First page has a guy in upstate NY that is parting out a 1939 HG. He has the final drives for sale at $100 us. He also offers world wide shipping. I have all ready purchased some odd and ends from him for my 1940 HG.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will open-up the 1939 final drives I have again and do a tooth count. The pinion gear tooth count is also different on those earlier models.

You can change the hub, drive gear and pinion over to the later ones - as far as I know. I say that because it is suggested in the parts manual.
The hubs in there seem to have all ten bolt holes, even though the sprockets only have 5 holes, so those hubs must have been changed over at some point. I guess the tooth count will tell...watch this space.

Maybe John S. can look up the relevant service bulletins, if he has them. I mentioned them in an earlier thread on this topic.

And yes, I can ship anywhere in the world....even sea freight for heavy stuff.

No problem for the recommendation. I did not realize that it was your stuff on E-bay. I just bought the fan assembly from you a couple weeks ago.

Hi olivercris. Could you please send a photo or count the ringgear for me?? This sounds like the correct one that I need. Thanks again Deano
