1956oc3

Hi, new here, I have just aquired a 1956 oc3 [thanks Chris] and have a problem with the rad. Is this a pressurised system or no? My overflow tube is down in the top tank, not in the filler neck like normal. tia, Scottie

I think that overflow tube should come into the top tank, but with the end of the tube up toward the top of the filler. It's not a pressurized system.

There is no thermostat as standard equipment.  There is an option for a water-temp gauge to be added to the top of your instrument gauge panel that, I believe, connects to some sort of inline thermostat (one that would screw into the extra screw-capped port of your water pump).  If you are interested in adding this to your crawler, I'm sure that Landis Zimmerman would be more than happy to assist you and would have the parts to make it happen.  His shop number is:  717-738-2573.
