I just acquired a new parts HG/OC3.  While disassembling I found the drive shaft to be very different from my other machines.  My other machines have a 3 piece assembly,universal-splined shaft-universal.  The new one is  - universal with "inner yoke connected to the other inner yoke" (one piece) then universal.  I haven't measured but the legnth looks the same on both kinds of drive shafts. Just wondered if this is off an earlier machine or what? I like it and would rebuild it if I can.  Thanks for any help identifying.   Cork

:D Those old tractors are money in the Bank when they run.. I notice that a running Cletrac HG is priced at $4,500.00 on the internet.. A restored model is listed for $8,000.00. Have fun, I am doing the same with mine.

I think from what ive seen is the more solid one is early and the one with the short shaft in it is the later type
