Cletrac HG is it big enough for a 6 cylinder

I just bought a Gallion road roller with a 6 cylinder contenial engine and was whating to know if that engine would be to big/have to much power for my HG that I haven't been able to find a starter for. I only payed $120 for this big machine and figure I can part it out /sell the steel and get back my $120. What do you think blake. Of course the first thing I'll try is to see if its starter will work on the engine in it already. Thanks for any ideas you may have

Well I have an HG with a 6 cylinder engine! It has an Oliver 77 engine - I believe it's a Waukesha engine. It has the Oliver bird cage radiator grill as well. They cut the gas tank in half - the front is now flat to allow the engine block to fit. It uses the Oliver clutch and bell housing. The propeller shaft is only about 6 or 8 inches long.

Well the engine in this  road roller is a contenial  with a mag still not sure which way I'll go till I see how it runs. Would still like to make it look as close as I can to an HG but I may need to push the cab/brush guard back some. Do you think the radiator would be big enough to handle the 6 cylinder??

Does the 6-cyl engine have much more torque  than the org hercules engine?.
I know some freinds that put in some other engine whith more torque and they have snapp of the driveshaft when they did pull hard.
