What color is your HG?

Blake I have one that is green over yellow have one that is grey over black over yellow and that is yellow

My HG is becoming orange from yellow, the OC3 is yellow as is the parts OC3.

Just a little assembly and sheetmetal banging to go and the HG will be back in the dirt!

By the looks of the front idlers it has the older HG idler.  They did go to the "OC" idler before they changed to the OC designation in 1951.  
Do you have a serial number?  
I'm not sure when Oliver changed the color from cletrac orange to Green---I don't think that it happened right when they bought Cletrac in 1944.
Can someone answer that question?

All these colors are very confusing. Mine (1947/48) is yellow with at least some of it undercoated with green. It appears that as some of the parts were interchangable between the OC3 and HG the factory just used parts for  each model as they were needed without regard for the color of the paint and the whole machine was overpainted to meet the specs of each model. My problem is what color to paint my HG to make it authentic?

I have an OC-3 that is blue with a yellow racing stripe. My Grandfather decided one day that he wanted his tractor painted, and asked my Brother, and I (age 8 & 9 at the time) what color we thought it should be. Naturally we thought it should be blue with a yellow racing stripe. So my Grandfather, the kind spirited person that he was bought some blue and yellow paint, and some brushes, and let us boys go at it. It is still this color today, and it reminds me of one of the happiest carefree times in life, and the tractor that I learned to drive on.
