need info. on what year and model crawler i have

hello to all im new to the site. i just bought this machine and would like to know if someone could tell me something about it.
i think it is a hg42 or an oc3 but not real sure. i looked all over the machine for the id tag but i guess it has been scraped off. the id plate on the engine reads as follows IXB3 SIZE 3-1/4X4 SER# 2423001 this engine is a hercules and it is a 4 cyl. but this engine DOES NOT have a mag it has a distributor. and were the mag should be is some kind of pump with a hose coming out one side and looping back in the other side of the pump.and on the block kinda behind this pump were the numbers  8 18 48 and this engine has no water pump. just a pulley for the fan. it has a tillotson carb on it. and elec. starter and generator. the crawler measures 42" center to center on the tracks. and it also has a anderson dozer on the front of it. the ser# on the tag says HG42-487 PAT PEND.
oh yea just so you can understand this pump better that i talked about earler it is not the pump for the dozer blade,the dozer blade pump runs off the frount of the crankshaft.
 please help im gona fix this machine up and use it around the ranch here if i can find the parts i need to fix it. the man i bought it from said the small gear that drives the bull gear on the sprocket is stripedi have not looked into this yet wanted to get a manual on this machine first but i need to know what i have got here.  thanks hope yall can help me.

Hi ED can't tell from your info. so far about the year of your crawler but it sounds like the engine was probably removed from a B.F. AVERY tractor as they used a distributor insted of a mag. The pump you speak of was the hydraulic pump used on the rock shaft lift for the tru draft hitch on the avery. Its quite common to find this engine swap as the avery used basically the same engine. ok thanks for the info tim is there anything else that would determine the year of this crawler.
