I had read somewhere that the front pulley is too weak for handling a hydro pump. I just purchased a OC that has hydro problem with lifting the blade. What do I need to look for as it relates to the front pulley being weak?

The hydraulic pump does not run off the front pulley - I runs off the front of the crankshaft. I never heard of a weakness here - our's has a big pump in the front that ran a loader and backhoe.

After the plant closed, he and my uncle started an excavating business, initially using Cletrac and Oliver Crawler tractors. Does the drive to the pump rotate? does it make a noise when it tries to lift? Do you have a pressure gauge?
