HG-31 Steering levers

I have a 1950? HG 31, S/N 53GA664 with a Ware(?) loader. The steering levers are both straight up and down, not like the ones I have seen posted on this site. Any ideas as to why? Thanks

I'm not sure, but I know you will get a responce from someone that knows for sure soon. I think the reason is because the tractor is so narrow that it might not accommodate the other steering levers.

I think one of our HGs is like that. It too has a Ware loader and it used to have an Oliver backhoe on it. I thought it may have something to do with jumping down off the backhoe seat to the tractor seat and not getting one's legs caught in the levers. But your guess is as good as mine.

all of the 31 guage tractors came with type of lever that you are describing

I have a hg-31 with the same levers   I think they all came with  them.
