Of coure my HG is missing the ID tag. Here is some info, can someone come up with a year for me. IXK-3 #1296224, no water pump, old style front wheels. I'll try to add a picture but sorry I don't know how to adjust the size.

OK I just found 5  20  47 behind the mag so I assume thats May 20 1947 right?

Yes, that is a pretty safe assumption as to when the engine was cast. It could be a reasonably close date (usually within a few months, but not always) to when your tractor came off the assembly line if no one has swapped motors on you.
