Hercules IXK Governor Spring and Another ?

Ok:  Well the snow has not stopped my puttering on the HG... does anyone have a good source for a new lower governor spring??  This is the spring that is located on the bottom of the governor towards the front of the machine.

I see the Parts Book calls it a Governor Operating Spring Part # 113 213.

Also, was there a provision on the head to accomodate a temperature gauge for the thermo siphon blocks?? My HG has no temperature gauge anywhere? Any recommendations on temp. gauges??

Guess I better start making a list of little things that I can progress during the long north country winter before spring thaw comes.

Landis Zimmerman has been the only real source of parts for these crawlers that I have found. He is a real nice fellow, easy to talk to , just not cheap.

There is a pipe plug on the left side of the head. The optional original guage was a AC Delco . I would get a Stewart Warner ,they are available at Napa .

Hello Rocky and Walter: How are things in the beautiful southern part of the U.S. I bet you don't have a foot of snow on the ground like we do.  Dipped down to zero yesterday.
