Can someone please help me out. I thought I had am OC3 until today, but I was told I had a HG, I would like to find the age of the machine? There is no tag on the right side of the engine but behind the oil filter stamped into the block were the numbers 65/1321 and then TC [I think]and under that was IXB3. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you!

Look behind the mag and see what date is cast there. All OC-3 models used the IXB engine, not all HG models used the IXB engine. Start there.

Is that a cast number or a stamped number?   Al.

The numbers will be cast.

I checked the numbers cast in the engine block behind the mag and they are REG-1, and under that was 51258, then a o with an L through it, and then 746
